Welcome to Front Door

We are your starting point for accessing child and youth mental health services and supports in Waterloo Region.

Since you are here, you are likely experiencing a difficult, confusing and challenging time. We can help. We work with parents/caregivers, children and youth (up to their 18th birthday) who are struggling with life’s challenges such as emotions, behaviours, relationships and mental health. We listen, offer support and can help you identify next steps including access to other services. To see how we can help you, click on one of the options below or just walk in during our walk-in times (first come first serve).

Welcome to Front Door’s New Website!

January 25, 2019 Carizon and Lutherwood are excited to announce the launch of our new Front Door website. Front Door, operated by Carizon and Lutherwood, is a starting point for accessing child and youth mental health services and supports in Waterloo Region. Our website offers new features including online event registration, online referral options, ability to send a message through our Contact Us page, and ability to translate pages into many languages. We are very proud of our staff at Front Door and the quality of service we offer people in our community who are struggling. We invite you to explore and reach out to us if we can be of service. We hope you enjoy your browsing experience!

About Front Door

Carizon Family and Community Services and Lutherwood have combined resources to offer Front Door – a great first step for families and young people who have concerns that relate to behavioural or emotional mental health concerns.

"I wish I had come sooner. This was very helpful as we came up with a plan that will help. The staff were very kind, listened to me and created a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. Thank you." Parent
